Palace names adviser for entrepreneurship

internet marketing blog

PRESIDENT Macapagal –Arroyo appointed RFM CEO and President Jose Ma. “Joey’ Concepcion III as presidential consultant for entrepreneurship.

Concepcion’s appointment to that post is in line with the government’s efforts to partner with the private sector in synergizing major programs in the country, among which is entrepreneurship.

Concepcion said “entrepreneurship is the vehicle that will spur better business climate in the country and bring back the dignity and confidence of the Filipinos.”

Concepcion, who will serve as pro-bono presidential consultant, envisions a purely private sector-funded movement that will work to mainstream and synergize major entrepreneurship programs and projects of various schools, NGOs and private corporations.

“What we need is concerted approach to our entrepreneurship development campaign.

There are numerous programs around the country that are theoretically and operationally sound; we just need to put ourselves together under a common advocacy banner so we can create the massiveness needed to create national impact,” Concepcion said.

“While we are experiencing today a seeming economic lift with our peso and the stock market performing well; a lot of work from different sectors still need to be put in the place in order for these macro-economic good news to be translated into more businesses established and more employment made available for Filipinos; Entrepreneurship is undoubtedly the way to go,” he added.

What business shall survive the 21st century?

internet marketing blog

This is a boardroom scene I have witnessed as an Advisor. Of course, the story is enhanced for good storytelling.

After a long and tiring brainstorming, to generate profits and “revive” the company, the CEO quipped, “For Pete’s sake, let it (company) die so that we could have a good night rest. By tomorrow, let’s start a new business, for those who will still be interested.”

The paradigm - those businesses which are capable of closing down today and start a new business by tomorrow. That means, those businesses that are lean, mean, and very fast to react.
