Meanwhile, I have listed general sources of income below.

A. eCommerce – this is my most recommended course of action – bring your real-world business to the Internet/Web.

B. Affiliate Programs – any business will fail if the “brand preference” of target customers is not considered. In fact, the most logical decision at the very start is to adopt an already popular affiliate program vs. your “no-name” brand of product or service.

C. Advertising – make your website very popular first and the advertisers will follow.

D. Google Adsense – I really thank Google for considering the plight of small website publishers who are shunned by high-paying advertisers. Now, any website can earn from Pay-Per-Click advertising by just displaying Adsense ads on their websites.

E. Training – in the process of publishing your own website (3 months), you will be acquiring webmastering and internet marketing skills. You can begin to train people on your experience (live trainings or write a course).

F. Consultancy – out of the skills you have acquired, master special skills that are mostly technical that only a few people can specialize i.e., web design, search engine optimization (SEO), HTML coding, installation of website functions and scripts, etc.

G. Coaching – after 6 months or more, choose a certain business, contact the owner, and coach him/her personally (at least 32 hours) or look for business executives (35 yrs. old above) who are considering to establish their own businesses and launch them on the Internet/Web.

The latter have strong yearnings to own a business in the immediate future. They are on a stage called “mid-life crisis.” They maybe not considered for promotion, tired of working for others, or simply need to acquire their own businesses.

H. Outsourcing – choose activities that are very labor-intensive, i.e. various internet promotions such as submission to search engines and directories, emailing, etc.

I. Co-Venture – look for business partners by providing your webmastering and internet marketing skills to the venture while your partner takes care of product fulfillment. You can split the profit.

J. Employment – if online entrepreneurship is not for you, although more people are getting richer now (especially from Google Adsense), then be employed.

A cursory scan of Yahoo Jobs will show you that Internet Marketers and Webmasters are being hired at US$3,000-4,000 per month for at least 1-2 years of experience.
